Wondrous Fleet Organizer

SKU: ORG096
$29.99

Product Description

If you've purchased any of the expansions for 7 Wonders, you quickly realize that the original game box was not designed to hold any extra game boards. You also have limited space for card storage.

Our Wondrous Fleet Organizer is designed to hold all expansions up to and including Armada with only app. 11mm of lid lift.

This update to our previous Wondrous Organizer now features two trays to store components from Babel, a tray to accommodate all of the Wonder boards and Armada components, separate trays for money, military defeat, and debt tokens, as well as a removable card tray with 6 acrylic dividers to help sort cards by type, expansion, or age. Supports sleeved or unsleeved cards.

You'll love this organizer so much you might even call it the 8th Wonder!

This product is a kit that requires assembly. We recommend the use of wood glue (sold separately)

Solid solution, few minor quibbles

-

The Good
-Holds /everything/ from all expansions, including Anniversary Packs & promo wonders
-Flexible in how you stack; if you mostly play Base/Base+Leaders+Cities, you can stack most of the Babel/Armada stuff down below base game

The Bad
-If you sleeve, card tray is at max capacity with just cards. Not enough room to have more than one or two dividers...so now I have Ages 1, 2, & 3 in just one blob
-The organizer fills the box fully; so putting Babel board and rule books inside causes a few cm of lid lift (This is advertised, so not a surprise)

The Ugly
-Still no good home for Great Projects. This isn't BT's fault since those cards are too darn big...but the only thing they came up with was "Stack them on top with all the rule books"

Overall a really solid organizer. At this point we're really limited by the dimensions of the box. The next step from here (assuming there's another expansion) is gonna have to be a bespoke crate rather than an in-box solution
RESPONSE:
From our Designer:
I have no idea how thick their sleeves must be, using the Mayday premium we're able to divide the cards by type. Not exactly sure what to say to that, except that we can't anticipate all the possibilities when it comes to sleeves.
There is a spot for the great projects, it's not super great or obvious, but you can kinda see in this picture: https://www.thebrokentoken.com/images/products/ORG096_02.jpg?resizeid=7&resizeh=1200&resizew=1200
The nest on top of the wonder boards, held in place with the notches on the top of the card tray.

Good, but super tight fit

An extremely tight fit. I can't get all the cards sleeved to fit. Using the premium mayday sleeves I bought at same time from this site. Only way to keep things even partly divided is to not sleeve any of the faction cards or any 6-7 player cards, since I never play with that many anyway. Probably should have been a crate instead so it's not to leave a little breathing room.

Great organizer, but the card storage is tight

Prior to purchase of the Wondrous Fleet Organizer, I had the Wondrous Organizer and loved it, though not everything fit. I was thrilled to be able to once more get all the things in one box.

As others have noted the card storage is tight. I have all the currently available expansions (Leaders, Cities, Babel, both Anniversary packs, bonus Leaders, bonus Wonders, and Armada) sleeved in the Mayday 7 Wonders specific sleeves. It is a tight fight, and there isn't room to have the cards setup as shown in the video. This is the only reason I took away one star.
I was however still able to fit all the cards.

One other note: If you have the standard cardboard coins, all the 6 units will not fit in the designated storage (2-3 coins of overflow), but there's room with the 1 units.

Overall great unit and I'm happy with my purchase thus far.

A Satisfying Fit

-

Pros
- This organizer fits everything so well. You can also easily fit the two largest scorebooks on top of the cards.
- I upgraded to this one from the Gaming Trunk organizer after I bought Armada. I like the fit and finish of that one more but this organizer excels so much at organizing that I don't regret it.

Cons
- The card tray should have had 18 divisions instead of 16. This may sound arbitrary but if you measure the number of cards you want to divide up into each category, 9 divisions per half would be perfect, with no compromise.
- The babel tile tray should have been enclosed on all 4 sides.

The babel cards have a well-defined place in the box. I like their placement and don't think of it as a compromise. I use the thick Mayday sleeves, and they fit w/ dividers. My order is: 2cm - all armada cards (tight); 3cm - leaders; 3cm - age 1; 3cm - age 2; 1cm - guilds; 1cm - age 3 city cards; 2cm - rest of age 3; 1cm - the rest.
