A great war looms, make sure your game box isn't the battleground with The Broken Token's organizer for Scythe by Stonemaier Games. This modern marvel of engineering features 13 removable and modular trays that will organize and streamline game-play. This includes 2 identical resource trays, one for each end of the game table; an easy to use bank tray; 7 individual trays for each faction, including those from the Invaders from Afar expansion; a card tray, which supports sleeved cards; and a player and faction mat tray, with mini token tray. This organizer is suited for both the Kickstarter Collector's editions as well as the retail version of the game.
Note: Storing both the base game board and game board extension lifts the box's lid by 6mm when closed.
This product is a kit that requires assembly. We recommend the use of wood glue (sold separately).

Well designed organizer that really speeds up the setup and tear down time for Scythe.
Wham Bam and your playing
by Chicken Man
Love how it keeps everything nice and organized the entire game. Easy to setup and even easier and faster to clean up. This is a game that definitely needed this. Well done.
by Ron Kehir
easy to assemble, makes finding thing for the game a snap.
Use Glue- otherwise, perfect
This was very easy to put together- I stained and sealed it first which was also very easy- having a place to hold that didn't need to be covered was a huge plus!
Tjhe only thing I would mention is that the instructions say to use glue if needed and most of the pieces snap together well enough not to need it. But on the instructions for the second half (Legendary box) they say to use glue and suggest wood glue. I would go ahead and use glue on this one as well.
Also, it's nice they made a video, but the paper instructions in the box were so clear that I didn't need it and I was done in about an hour.
It holds everything very nicely and fits in the box very nicely- great engineering, guys (and gals)!
Really slick organizer
I’ve put a couple of these together and am so impressed with the engineering of these products. Easy to assemble, and SO nice to have once it’s complete. At first I was sceptical about spending the money on “just the organizer”. But once I finished my first one (Gloomhaven) I was hooked. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade.
Best Organizer I have seen for Scythe
by Bob K.
I actually bought a different organizer first, but after seeing the video or this one (and the fact that there is a nice add-on to organize all the expansions that integrates seamlessly) I ended up swapping to this one.
Initially, the fact that the extra large board prevents the cover from closing completely on the original box put me off, but I do appreciate the fact that this organizer has separate trays for each faction, so you can just easily hand a player all their faction component.
Put into the Legendary box, the cover issue disappears, so this became a must-buy for me.
A VERY impressive organizer. Every thing is well laid out and straight forward to assemble. I used wood glue and a small mallet to get everything together - it only took a few hours. I already own the Legendary Box, so it's easy to put everything inside it - (but I do have the Legendary Organizer on order).
This looks more difficult than it is - the hardest part is to find all the right pieces - especially when you're building 7 sub-assemblies, but everything is nicely laid out in the instructions. There are 10 "boards" and if you have room it would be nice to lay them out in order, then go and find the pieces for each sub-assembly. The pieces fit together VERY nicely and it was a pleasure to assemble.
As usual with the Broken Token organizers, game setup is SO much easier now, but a real plus is the clear plastic cover on the the resource tray - nicely done and it helps keep everything in place.
There are also a couple of instructional videos on YouTube that you might want to watch - one shows how to put it together, another shows how to store everything.
by Joshua Moran
Organizes the game great, makes setup so much quicker. Easy to put together. If you can build a Lego kit you can put this kit together. Instructions are easy. If you have a question on certain pieces there is a nice how to build video on You Tube for a reference point. I hope Broken Token makes a crate to add the Wind Gambit and Fenris expansions that also holds this organizer, all in one nice wooden box.
Arrived in terrible Condition and the Assembly worst i have ever had to deal with
Full disclosure this was my first purchase from Broken Token, i have made some purchases from other competitors. Upon arrival the wood looked aesthetically pleasing, and i liked the proposed layout of the trays. This is where the positives ended...
• Upon opening one of the clear plasitic toppers for the resource trays was chipped/cracked, not unusable but not a good sign.
• The pieces didn't seem to fit together well, the wood seemed almost warped or bent. Luckily i have glue and some clamps, but this increased my assembly time to around 4 days. I usually expect around 40 minutes, but every piece needed the glue the clamps so assembly was limited to one maybe two pieces at a time.
• This might be related to above items but many of the pieces creak and groan when attempting to put items in them. Its especially bad with the player and Faction mats; but i am also having issues with most of the other trays .
• At this point the trays for 3 of the 7 characters have broken through the glue holds while taking them out of the box. The Player/faction mats have also broken a few times through the glue. In addition one resource tray is close to useless.
If this sounds like a trouble ticket, it definitely is. i opened a ticket a couple weeks ago, the response from Broken Token was
"this doesn't sound right, we would be happy to help". I am now at over 1.5 weeks without a response after providing a list of the items that were damaged.
Right now i can't in good conscious recommend this tray or company to any friends. They appear to be lacking in Quality control and don't stand behind their products. I am at the point where i will probably need to throw it away, as reassembly of the trays at Breweries or public places is embarrassing and time consuming.
RESPONSE: Joey we are very sorry to hear you had so many issues. This is definitely not our usual service level. If your ticket has gone unresponded to there might be an issue. We always, always back our products 100% and will definitely replace any bad pieces. Our normal customer service rep has been out on a medical emergency for nearly two weeks so it's possible in her absence and the rest of the team trying to cover for her your ticket got missed and we sincerely apologize for that. However we are happy to right that wrong immediately.
I found your help ticket and your replacement is on the way!!
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to set this right!

Everything in its place and so much easier to find!
by Todd E.
Broken Token makes such amazing organizers. Putting them together is always a joy, and the Scythe organizer is no exception. Very simple to do - my daughter, age 5, did plenty to help - and with a few touches of wood glue or super glue, it becomes completely solid. It took me 3 hours to put it together from start to finish, and the only tools I needed were an Exacto knife to trim the parts, a small hammer to help some of the snug joints to come together. That's it. And now, I can very quickly set up and be ready to play in just a few minutes.
In short, this product is great. Easy to assemble, easy to use after it's built. It's worth the price!
Greate storage solution
by John Skauge
With this storage solution both the base game and invaders from afar will fit nicely in the box. No parts will fall out of their boxes because of smart arrangement of pieces.
by Michael Koye
The organizer is made of high quality materials and the pieces seemed to be cut perfectly. I am very satisfied with how it fits in the box. It took some time to put it together, although it wasn't difficult, as the printed and YouTube video instructions available were great. Almost all of the pieces fit together with friction alone; I only had two that are loose and would need a bit of wood glue to keyit together better. I have recommended this organizer to my friends who also own the game.
The thing that intially drew me to this organizer was it's promise to work with future expansions. I also liked that you could play out of the organizer and get the box off the table.
Excellent organizer makes setup a breeze!
by DAN P LONG
Another excellent organizer from the Broken Token.
Fits and organizes all the base game components, Invaders from Afar, and all the promo cards. Sweet. Setup time is now something like five minutes, and most of that is just, you know, putting all the little bits and pieces on the player boards. Each faction has it's own box for mechs, character, and wooden bits. Two boxes for the resources, so there can be a set on either end of the table. Faction mats and player boards have their own cubby. All the cards go in the carrier, by sections.
Be careful putting it together. The only complaint I have, is that there are a couple of places where there is mirror symmetry, and it's possible to swap the left and right sides by accident. Which I did, a couple of times. Should have been playing closer attention. Whoops.
That aside, this is another fabulous insert.
Love it, it just works
by David Christie
These organizers help to keep things neat and organized while playing the game and for packing it away. They may need a little glue to hold things together but most parts have a tight fit. The price is a little high but well worth it for games with a lot of parts and that you play often.
Great product, but would benefit from an upgrade
I love this product and putting it together was a great assembly process. However, it wasn't clear as far as the removal process on sealing the plastic of the lids. Some better instructions on that would have been helpful.
Also, while I didn't fully expect it, I was slightly disappointed that this product didn't have slots for Wind Gambit, which I'd recently purchased. Also, everything has individual pieces, but for those with the retail version, the $2 token slot remains barren and is an empty space in an otherwise great organizer.
Otherwise, the organizer looks great and is a breath of fresh air with a game with this many fiddly bits. Customer service replaced my missing piece with no problems and no complaints.
Another Excellent Organizer
The pictures show the benefits of the fully constructed product. Once constructed, the organizer fits into the Scythe box like a jigsaw puzzle. While there are open spaces where it looks like an upgrade cube or some other little bit could escape, once everything is placed on top of everything else and the game board is in place, everything effectively has a lid so even the smallest pieces will stay in place. The design notches for the card carriers and finger holds on the other boxes are also appreciated for facilitating easy removal of all of the items.
Total construction time was about 1.5-2 hours, as I had to do mine in two sessions for reasons stated below.
The only reason that I did not give this product a perfect rating was that the tolerances can vary widely between products. This is a mini-wood working project, and it's our job to put the pieces together & Broken Token's job to design and cut said pieces. The end design is perfect, the cutting has some variance.
Putting together the resource trays was a particular pain in the behind due to the slat pieces being so loose in the end piece that they leaned out of the way when I attempted to line up the other end piece. When you have 4-5 long boards that go from sitting at a 90 degree angle to a 75 degree angle seemingly at the mere thought of trying to touch them, it's a challenge, particularly when the ends are covered in glue.
Customer service had to send me a new sheet of parts, which they promptly did, because my box was missing sheet ten - hence me doing the project in two sittings. The coin tray, which was essentially a large resource tray, had super tight tolerances that kept the boards/slats upright after being inserted into one end piece and moved maybe 2 degrees... I understand that glue is necessary, but when the pieces are so loose in their slots that they are flopping around, that makes it a pain to put together and it's a mystery why this can vary to such a degree.
I glued everything, and that was a bit of a mess since I'm about the least handy person on the planet. If I had one ask for the Broken Token staff, it would be either to carry or link to a slow setting wood glue for precision applications like constructing their products - as well as a mini-mallet as I couldn't find one similar in my big-box hardware store.
I'll keep this brief:
This game has a lot of pieces. Were it not for the mechs, I could probably get away with just using the enclosed bags.
This organizer is a flourish but a completely beautiful one. It's amazing to put together and adds a beautiful element to the box.
It's as simple as that. Not a must but definitely worth it.
Awesome organizer for Scythe
I sorta enjoy putting these together. Makes for quick setup and putting components away.
Another Great Organizer
This was my second organizer from broken token that I have put together. As before this was simple to put together and extremely well made. It really makes a huge difference in the organization, setup and takedown of the game. I play the game solo mostly so I just need the workers, heart and power token at the top of the faction box for easy access and I can be up and running in a very short time. Every piece is well thought out and it fits together perfectly. very happy with this product.
took 4 hours to assemble
considering the price tag (as much as a board game itself), spending 4 hours assembling the item, I don't think the time-savings in setup will be worth the price and time spent. Overall, while the product is good, I don't feel like I will derive enough value from it in the end.
Response: We're sorry you feel that way. Assembly time varies from person to person and 4 hours is definitely on the long end of the spectrum. We definitely feel that it gets easier with practice. We also hope that once you use the organizer you'll see how much more enjoyable it makes the game. As always, we're here to assist if you have any problems or issues.
Couldn't be happier
by Matt Click
Easy to build, sturdy, and fits snugly in the box to keep everything where it's supposed to go. Would recommend wood glue or hot glue on some of the bigger pieces that hold more weight. Otherwise, seriously, couldn't be happier with this.
The best organizer that currently exists for this game.
by Andres Andino
This really is the best organizer out there for Scythe. By far! It's elegantly designed to make the game perfectly playable. And include all of the promos and components for the game. I really just wish it had room for the expansion board. I feel like most people who own scythe and all the promos probably also have the expansion board. And it's a little bit of a disappointment that the lid does not sit flush with the expansion board in the Box. Especially considering that the Box even has a specific place to put the clips for the expansion board.
Otherwise I absolutely love this thing!
RESPONSE: We chose the lid lift to get the most functionality out of the organizer so we're glad you like that! Besides it won't matter when you put it all in the legendary box :D
by Shanon Daly
Does a brilliant job of keeping all the bits sorted and tidy that makes set up and packing away a breeze.
The two token containers are very handy, as is the coin tray with scooped inner to keep grabbing at those coins easy.
I found that some of the sections (mainly the one full side panel from the faction trays) definitely benefit from some extra time and care with glue, but everything else comes together quite well.
Essential addition for Scythe enthusiasts.
I did quite a bit of research before purchasing my scythe insert with broken token and I'm glad that I did. I'm thoroughly happy with the quality and design of this product. I would highly recommend it!
