This organizer set assembled like a dream—so well, in fact, I haven’t bothered to glue anything but the vision card tray together yet. The pieces fit together so snuggly that while they may need some glue along the seams after repetitive gameplay, for simple storage dry fitting is fine. I absolutely love the ease in card storage. I struggled with the decision to toss the original plastic organizer that came with the game but this made it more than worthwhile. The downsides to this organizer set are so minimal: the player storage boxes aren’t quite tall enough for the components—we’re talking by a millimeter here, people—so the player envelopes you place on top tend to slide around a bit until you set the object card tray atop it; the larger, arched cardboard counter thingy and its connecting game piece (sorry; I forget what the component is called officially and I’m too lazy to look it up) don’t have a clear cut place to go so anyone looking for a slot for this needs to settle with it being placed atop either the game board or the token trays; the assembly instructions don’t provide a clear representation of where each tray is supposed to go or how they’re supposed to be stacked, but come on—it’s pretty obvious once you have all the components in their places where everything goes.
I feel much more secure about the integrity of my game components now that I have this organizer set. The original plastic insert didn’t allow for sleeved cards, and even after only 2 play throughs, one of the vision cards got scratched up somehow. It’s nice to have an organizer unit that allows for sleeves but is still super convenient for frequent gameplay.
Conclusion. Mysterium is one of those games that is valued for its outstanding and intricate artwork. That artwork deserves to be protected with card sleeves. This organizer allows for that, and more. Hands down a must by for anyone who owns this game, no matter the frequency of play. Now, only if TBT would make similar organizer sets for Mysterium Park and Obscurio ;-) ...
