Seventeen removable trays make set-up and tear down a breeze. A large tray holds all the 2-sided map tiles with an etched stacking order to help find the right tiles and pack back up. 4 identical trays hold the party’s active character’s ability cards, attack modifier cards, collected item cards, character tokens, character pad, character board and hp/xp dials and trackers, as well as a spot for the character standee for first edition copies of the game. The miniatures tray holds all the character miniature boxes with cutouts making it easy to remove the right one. 2 identical trays hold the 2-sided overlay tiles with a third smaller tray for the trap overlay tiles. 1 mini-card tray holds the 4 base attack modifier decks, blessing cards, curse cards, negative modifiers, battle goal cards, random scenario cards, and all item cards with enough dividers to separate all the cards by type and items by prosperity level. The standard card tray holds road and city events; separated by available, locked and used events; personal quest cards, and both types of random dungeon cards. The standard card tray also has a “secret compartment” under the cards for the Town Records Book and sealed envelopes. There are 3 “combat” trays, one holds all the status tokens (the 2nd edition redesign rendered the blessing and curse tokens obsolete so the tray was redesigned to hold the 8 rather than 10 tokens), one holds damage tokens, money tokens, xp tokens/scenario aid tokens, and element discs and round tracker for set-up, the third tray holds the summons and their trackers and number tokens. Finally there are 3 monster trays, one for plastic stands, another for the monster stat sheets and sleeves, the third holds 30 custom full color tuck-boxes that store the monster attack modifier cards and each monster type’s standees and ability cards together.

I can't imagine trying to play/store Gloomhaven without this organizer.
It was pretty easy to assemble using only the printed instructions. My only issue was I glued in the card holder separators instead of just slipping them into a slot. Luckily the glue broke loose pretty easily and didn't damage any of the boxes. Having them loose will make it easy to customize the slot sizes as I go forward.
If I had to find something to ding this on it would be that I can't get all the character boxes in the game box. Granted you will have at least two of the boxes empty since they will be in the character holders as part of the organizer. This is more an issue for me since I have not played the game yet and am storing it until our game group gets a chance to play it. Once we start playing this will not be an issue. Yup, that's pretty much the only ding I could come up with and it's a bit of a reach. :)
The game fits in the box great. Big thumbs up on this product! Highly recommended!
Can't Play Without
by Kevin Thomas Parrott
Cannot imagine playing Gloomhaven without it. Keeps everything organized and in it's appropriate place. You can even organize the cards by what's in play and what is not. Love it.
Perfect compliment to the perfect game
by Jeremy Gibso
I hesitated at the price point but it was worth every penny. If you have this game you owe it to yourself to make it complete with this organizer. It makes setup and teardown so much faster. The quality of of the materials and elegance of the design are astounding. The way the monsters have their own box with standees and attack modifiers in one place is genius. It even shows you how to stack the map tiles so everything fits perfectly. Directions are clear and the YouTube video is helpful for getting everything in the box correctly. I would recommend using wood glue. I used a little plastic syringe which worked perfectly. Buy it now.
One of the Best Organizers on the Market
Can't give this enough stars! It's an absolute necessity to keep Gloomhaven well organized. Now some reviewers complain about flattening out 4 of the character boxes in order to fit everything in the box. I see no problem doing that at all. What I do is use 4 of the included wooden character trays and put 4 characters with their cards in there. Those are the 4 boxes I flatten out. I don't understand at all why people would say that's a problem. Every single thing fits in the box perfectly. Even the map tiles are well organized, and I'm not the type to put the map tiles in their proper places after each scenario either. I just put them as is on to the top tray and that's it. It still fits. Anybody giving this product less than 5 stars just doesn't have a clue what they're doing.
One word: amazing
by Pete Lutke
This is the second Broken Token organizer I have purchased, the first being for Imperial Assault. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in these products absolutely blows me away. Hats off to your designers for being able to develop such a concise storage solution. My one suggestion to potential buyers: look up the Youtube video on how to put the storage into the Gloomhaven box. I've watched half a dozen times and will probably need to rewatch the video every time I try to put the game away.
Awesome add on
by Mark J Mendola
This is an awesome product. Couple of suggestions before assembly. I went through and numbered each piece while still on the packaging. This made for very quick assembly. Second, instructions on what goes where and details on spacing of inserted pieces, that hold vertical parts, would greatly help.
Where do you put this stuff?
by Keith Banks
Normally I'm a huge fan of Broken Token and their products. I have a few of them now and they are generally great in that the instructions are easy to follow and it is pretty straight forward where everything goes. Sadly, the Gloomhaven one is just absurd. Putting it all together is easy. However, trying to figure out where the tokens and pieces go is a special brand of torture. First, to get the 'L' trays to fit, you need to pull at least 4 character boxes and remove the contents. This can make it tricky when you have yet to play the game and don't know what you'll be playing. Second, there is no information on where the 4 oblong dials go. I've scoured the pictures and simply cannot find them. Third, there is an extra box labeled 'Attack Modifiers'. However, these cards appear already divided in tray 'I' so I'm not sure what this box is for.
All in all, the component boxes themselves are really well made and easy to put together. Once it's done, however, best of luck trying to determine where everything goes.

It's Really Good ... Not Great
This is my first Broken Token product. We bought one for Terraforming Mars as well for our friend and he loves that one - so much so that I bought another one for one of my other friends.
The one for Gloomhaven is good but I don't think it has enough spaces for all the little bits - like all of the tiles don't fit in all of the slots. Meaning I have more different types of tiles than there are slots for me to put them in. Also some of the monster boxes are pretty snug (not awful but a little harder to get everything fit sometimes than expected). I also do not think I will be using the box top to store my map tiles. Seems like a expanding folder with letters would be easier/better.
I'm not sad that I bought this. I think it's a really good system but I think it could be better.
Play more, Setup Less
This is a must for anyone who is exploring their way through Gloomhaven. This makes setup and tear down a breeze and is an immense time saver when an enemy card introduces a new enemy summon you weren’t expecting. If you’re worried that four tuck boxes don’t fit after adding 17 trays and 30 more tuck boxes, don’t be! The four in use character tuck boxes fit well on top of the map tiles and the box still closes well. Can’t reccommend enough.
Great product, beware assembly instructions
This product is amazing for carrying Gloomhaven. The only complaint i have is the assembly instructions (video and paper). This is only for the trays with inserts (tray I & tray H). DO NOT GLUE THESE PIECES DOWN. Paper instructions do not tell you that there is not enough inserts for all slots. Following video (I watched and copied vedeos layout) does not fit cards according to their how it all fits video. I will say that the video does not show glueing in inserts but when placing inserts in i found them to move so i glued them for more stability. Overall great product but I have to adjust my cards due to glueing inserts following their assembly video.
Absolutely necessary to set up and play
Love the entire organizer, It was super easy to assemble and has made tear down and set so much easier. It looks great, and was a perfect purchase.
I wish the boxes for the standees/cards were a bit better thought out as there are a few boxes that barely fit, and the Boss box is near impossible.
Would not be able to play this near as well without the organizer.
Totally worth the money
Easily saved an hour of set up and put away time during its first use post assembly.
It took me about five hours to assemble - I sanded quite a bit (not that it needed it for the most part, but I’m finicky) and glued most of the joints. Even super glue couldn’t take the strain of cramming in the character miniatures, so I ended using packing tape on that tray. (Makes it slide in and out easier anyway.) It took a friend and I about 90 minutes to load the organizer, but I think it would take much less if you were loading out a virgin game (vs disassembling a DIY organization situation in order to load it). I do recommend assembling the large tray for the scenario map pieces with the loading guide on the outside rather than on the inside as shown in the instructions.
The set includes tons of thoughtful details like finger holes on the bottom of trays to aid in removing snugly fitting pieces and little tray handles for things that would otherwise be tough to get out of the big box. I LOVE the monster tuck boxes (even if it did require some thought to layer in some of the standees into them). I thought the YouTube support for assembly and loading was great, and I’m keen to add more Broken Token into my game boxes.
Love Broken Token. Should have taken a pass on this one.
I'm going to preface this review by saying that I love BT products in general. If BT has an organizer for a game I have, I almost always buy it. These organizers are consistently the best designed on the market. I've bought other organizers for games that BT doesn't support, and they're never quite up to the same standard. Either the design is boneheaded, or the wood isn't as good, or the cutting is bad.
That being said, I was disappointed with this organizer. In terms of the quality of the wood and cuts, the quality is what I would expect of Broken Token (which is to say the best.) However, I think the design isn't up to their usual quality.
Here are the issues I have so far:
1. Character Tuckboxes. The included tuckboxes for Gloomhaven are reasonable for storing unsleeved cards and the BT insert includes 4 trays that will store sleeved decks for the "active" players. This is reasonable if only 4 people are playing the box (only 4 can play at a time, but Gloomhaven supports multiple active parties and can have 6 players in a party rotating) and you're okay with unsleeving a class when you put it away. However, if you're trying to use your box with multiple groups, be aware that this design does not support that approach to playing this game very well. You'll have to utilize the included tuckboxes which do not handle sleeved cards very well. I had thought that maybe this was an intractable design problem, but I have seen organizer designs which had trays for each class envelope, which largely solves these issues. Additionally, the organizer expects you to subtract 4 tuckboxes from the box to fit the trays in. This is fine if you are only playing with the same 4 people. If you have more than 1 party, this is a nightmare as you have to have floating character boxes outside of the box.
2. Monster Tuckboxes. These are actually fine in principal. Sort of. The insert wants you to put the monster standees and decks into tuck boxes. I don't actually have a problem with this, but the tuckboxes are too small to make this easy. Instead, after playing GH for however long, you have to engage in an annoying subgame of tetris to put the monsters away. I'm also not really sure how sleeved cards are supposed to fit in the boxes with some of the standees (boss box I'm looking at you.) Additionally, there's one boss that doesn't even fit in the boss standee box (despite its picture being on the box.) I thought maybe I was being stupid, but the boss is literally bigger than the box on almost every axis. Currently, my monster decks are living in my card shoe since I don't feel like trying to stuff them into the standee boxes.
3. The map tile tray. This is by far the most miserable part of the organizer. For the tiles to fit into the tile tray properly, they have to be put in the tray in an extremely specific configuration (which is fortunately lasered onto the tray.) If monster standee tetris was bad, this is next-level. I've played so much gloomhaven at this point that I've basically memorized the layout for the tile tray, which is fortunate because I can now put the tray away in less than 5 minutes. The first couple of tries were excruciating.
In conclusion, if you're going to play the game with the same group of 1-4, this organizer probably meets your needs just fine (minus the awful tile tray. The standee boxes are annoying but livable.) For multiple parties, this organizer is not ideal. Finally, at least for me, one of the most compelling reasons to buy an organizer is to speed up set up and tear down vs a home brewed storage solution (bags or plano boxes.) This is the only time I've thought I could get a game set up and torn down faster with a home brew solution vs broken token's solution (A filing box for the map tiles is popular online with plano boxes for standees.) I may still swap to a home brewed solution or cut my own insert. I realize that this is a big game and designing an insert is a challenge, but sadly, I feel like this is one of Broken Token's few whiffed designs.
Response: Thank you for the feedback and we are sorry that you are not 100% happy with the product. Contact our support department to see if there's something we can do to make this right for you. Regarding your feedback, you certainly have some valid points. Often we have to design the solution for how the game is typically going to be played which means in some situations the organizer may not be as optimal as others. In this case, your example of running multiple groups of different characters is just not something we could support with character trays and get it all to fit into the box. Also regarding the tile tray, its a similar situation. Things could certainly be sped up with a filing system like you suggested, but our goal is always to store all the components in the original box, so its a bit difficult to compare this solution to another solution where you are not held to the same space-constraints. Also, you are correct, the dragon does not fit into the small tuckbox. It is used rarely and for this reason it did not make sense to create a single, super-large tuckbox just to accomodate that one odd-sized monster as the unique tuckbox would not have fit into the tuckbox tray. Thank you for the feedback and for being our customer. Let us know what we can do to make your experience with the Gloomhaven insert better, by contacting our support department.
Organizes well, designed for use after your first game.
by Trevor T.
I bought this on the same day I bought Gloomhaven, I had every intention of setting up the organizer the week before our first game - setup was time consuming, but relatively easy - my only gripe is that this organizer was not designed to hold the entire game before your first game session - four of the character tuck boxes will not fit in the box with this organizer.
Gloomhaven would be a nightmare with out an insert
The insert is great. Gloomhaven would be a absolute nightmare trying to keep everything together. I gave it 4 stars the insert had a few issues being put together. Nothing I was not expecting. The tray for the tile pieces was a little difficult to put together because of the the two panels for the bottom of the tray. I wish it was more of a locking tab space when putting them together. After putting together the weight of the tiles seems to separate the tray, but it does hold up. That would be my only concern I have purchased blood rage, Scythe, and Terraforming Mars inserts and love them all. I plan on buying more for future games I get that they have inserts for.
Even better than expected. A must have.
Fantastic value for a game that needs organization
by J. MichaelSpencer
I ordered the Gloomhaven organizer within minutes of opening the game box for the first time. It arrived quickly, and took about 3-4 hours to fully assemble, load up with the game pieces, and discovered the only flaw with this organizer: if you're not actively playing with a consistent party (or, as in my case, if you load it up before your first game), the active character trays aren't particularly useful, and you don't have 4 active character boxes to take out to make room for them. Same if you're playing with fewer than 4.
Other than that, so for the vast majority of folks I would expect, this is perfect, and I would go so far as to say necessary to play this monster of a game. Just be wary if you'll be in a situation where you won't have a consistent set of 4 character boxes empty and able to be flattened out and stored outside the box or in the top tray.
One final note: if you're following the instructions and gluing every joint (not the dividers), then you've probably run into the issue I do where you press a huge amount of glue out of the joints when assembling, getting glue everywhere, etc. Do yourself a favor and search Amazon for "quilling glue bottle". They're small, needle-tip glue applicators that allowed me to put on enough wood glue to hold and not make a mess.
Gloomhaven almost begs to require organization and this one does really well
I'm overall extremely satisfied with the organizer. Gloomhaven has a lot going on and this organizer helps a tremendous amount in setup and teardown. I can't imagine trying to play this regularly without such a well done organizer. The tuck boxes in particular are really brilliant. Being able to to organize all the enemies in their own boxes with their card deck and cardboard figures is a huge help!
I only have one real quibble with the organizer and it's pretty minor: it requires you to remove 4 of the character boxes and flatten them down so that everything can actually fit in the box. I really wish I could just have everything in the box as-is. But, again, that's pretty minor. The Broken Token did a really great job with this otherwise. And considering just how much stuff needs to be organized in this game I'm sure they would have found to keep everything intact if they could.
Excellent work; map tray still challenging
by David B
This is my first time every buying a custom organizer for a game, and I'm definitely not disappointed. I was paranoid that since you're responsible for assembling this yourself, I'd immediately break something or put it together wrong, but both the written guide and the video guide were helpful in making sure I did everything properly.
The quality of the entire set is insanely good, and the other players in my group were massively impressed by it. Our only quibble is the map tray, which feels a bit unstable given the weight it needs to hold (the recommendation to tape the back of it was helpful), and it's a bit difficult to 'easily' put tiles away given the very specific order it requires. I have a feeling after unboxing/reboxing the game a couple more times I'll have it memorized, but when you first start using the set you will find it difficult to put away properly on the first try.
The monster tuckboxes are extremely useful, however the ones that cover multiple groups of standees (i.e. Archer, Guard, etc.) are very tight fits for the standees and require a very specific order of operations.
Overall though, I don't know what I would have done without this organizer. Thank you so much for a great product!
A feat of engineering, but just shy of perfect
I’m a huge fan of Broken Token organizers, and use them for a bunch of component-heavy games like Rebellion and Scythe. Gloomhaven is, of course, THE component heavy game, but I’m still disappointed that you can’t fit all of the components comfortably. You’ll need to keep 3-4 of the character tuck boxes out of the main box, the map tiles *barely* squeeze in, and some standees don’t fit well in their tuck boxes. I eventually got frustrated enough with having to take all the map tiles out to put any of them back in that I’ve picked up an accordion folder.
It’s still the best solution I’ve seen, but short of the 5 star review I’ve left for other items.
essential for organizing game components
by Jacob Keller
This organizer is very useful, and has become essential in organizing and storing the various game components. My one complaint, is that the 4 "active" character box items are not useful if you switch between play groups (as you constantly have to flatten and unflatten various character boxes).
Instead, I left these out of the box, and was able to fix the extra character boxes, exerience and health dials, some mechanical pencils, as well as a few ziplog bags in the extra space. This was far more convenient for my group than using the active character trays.
It will work but it made me sad
This is easily the most expensive of their products that I own, I have 6 other organizers. This one has more joints requiring glue or tape than any other of their products that I own. The spots that needed help were always the bottom of trays that just want to fall apart. There were also something that looked like smoke stains or places where the laser burned areas that weren't getting cut; maybe I just got a lousy piece of wood, its difficult to say. With some extra assembly steps that weren't necessary on any other organizer I got it to the point where its functional and will work well.
RESPONSE: We are not ok with sad. If any parts or pieces are not up to standard all you need to do is contact via the website http://www.thebrokentoken.com/contact-us/ we always back our products. It's true that due to laser variance sometimes fit can be looser than others but if it's just not working let us know!!

Perfect fit, just a bit pricey
by James Scott
A fantastically thought out product. Just a bit expensive. Don't get me wrong, you will not find anything better. This was defiantly designed by someone who understood the game. The creature boxes were a great addition to what should of been in the Gloomhaven game. Which shows how much Broken Token learned the game. I just had a few minor design gripes. I wish the bottom of the main tray was one piece. And I would of like more dividers for the card holders. Knowing these two things were probably kept this way for cost and packing, I understand. If you own Gloomhaven, this is a must purchase!
Best money I've invested in a Boradgame
I just recently got my Gloomhaven 2nd printing first time I've owned the game and a friend help me open and break it apart and organize it. When he told me about Broken Token and that you all might have a setup for Gloomhaven. I had never heard of this site but after my experience with the Gloomhaven Organizer I will always look to this site for organization solutions first. Just the setup reduction time is worth the 80 bucks much less the beauty and organizational genius that went into making this product. I would buy it again in a heartbeat and will be telling anyone and everyone who I meet or know who owes Gloomhaven they should get one of these from you guys.
I had zero issues with it going together and used wood glue on some of our most used trays otherwise I'll glue ones as they come apart if they even do.
As for setup times the monster tuck boxes and character holders and all the other amazing organizers have probably dropped out setup time in half if not by 3/4ths of our original time. Also making our moving on to the next setup even faster and smoother than before as well allowing us to get through multiple scenarios with ease on game nights.
One flaw to otherwise GREAT organizer
Pro's: Active character trays and card holders so you can literally pull the trays out and play. Cut set up time for the game down by 30 minutes easily. I don't have the space to leave the game out and for a linked scenario game like Gloomhaven, cutting that is a huge deal. So many little parts, everything has a place and different types of trays stay together.
Con's: Stark light color doesn't strike the right look and feel for the wonderful game. Easily solved with a little dark stain or other chosen color stain and perhaps a coat of urethane. Top tray comes in two pieces instead of one and constantly feels like it is going to come apart.
