Blood Rage Organizer

Product Description

Be prepared for Ragnarök with our official Blood Rage organizer and keep your game from ending up in Valhalla! Our most ambitious project to-date, the Blood Rage organizer not only holds all of the game contents, expansions and Kickstarter exclusives, but does it in a way that painted miniatures are protected during storage and travel. Each miniature is suspended by it's base so it does not come in contact with other miniatures. Each clan has its own player tray engraved with the official clan logo and name. Separate trays hold the monsters and gods miniatures.

In addition to protecting your game, our Blood Rage organizer will tremendously cut down on setup and teardown times leaving you more time to vanquish your foes!

Ambitious Organizer

This is easily the most ambitious organizer I've seen from The Broken Token yet and, for the most part, it works well. As you'd expect, this is a more complex build than usual but its worth it. The individual storage cases for each clan makes setup for the game so much easier.

There are a few issues, which TBT have noted on the product already: odin doesn't fit in his case so you'll have to lay him loose, the spear on the dwarf chieftain makes him not fit and again needs to lay loose, some of the lids are looser than other (though none that were immediately problematic, I am concerned that they'll further loosen with use), and fitting in some of the taller figures into the clan cases takes a bit of figurine tetris.

One special note: when building the clan cases, make sure the ship text on the base is face up. The bases will fit together even if its not. I wasn't paying close enough attention and one of them is installed backwards now. Not a major issue as everything still fits, but I'm just OCD enough that I'm going to have to tear it apart and rebuild it at some point.

Response: Please note that the dwarf chieftain can be stored in the monster slot labeled "Wolfman" and the Wolfman can be stored in the smaller monster tray.

Imperfect, but an excellent option

Prior to purchasing this organizer, my (KS) game was divided up into four boxes. This organizer combines that all down into the base box, & does so in a way that makes the game feel more accessible.

Pros:

1) Everything fits in the base box,

2) Reasonably secure & protected so that even painted miniatures would be OK

3) The modular nature of the organization decreases setup & teardown time.

Cons:

1) This product depends heavily on small, bendable wooden "springs" that function well, but are very fragile. Even one breaking would substantively decrease the value of this product.

2) The storage method for the small monsters & Gods of Asgard are frankly, frustrating to use. One piece (spear-holding dwarf chieftain) clearly does not fit in any of the allocated spots.

3) The instruction manuals & player mats will cause the box top to "float".

Odin is fine

I own many inserts from Broken Token. This is one of, if not their best to date. I really like the Clan holders and the engraving is an awesome touch. Other have noted that it can be a bit tricky to line everything up perfectly. I don't find this to be a big deal and really appreciate that everything besides Odin is snug. Odin will be fine by the way. Surely the ruler of Asgard can withstand a little room to move around. It's better than the alternative of dumping him into a bag or tub.

I found the instructions to be clear and easy to do but time consuming. Carve out a couple of hours to put this insert together.

I found the quality to be on par with all the other Broken Token organizers I have purchased if not a little better.

To anyone who rates this poorly, please point me in the direction of a better product in the same price range. I looked into the go7gaming version of this insert. NOT EVEN CLOSE to the level of design in the Broken Token version of this organizer.

So Close, but Still Awesome

We actually had three characters that wouldn't fit in their intended boxes: the aforementioned dwarf chieftain and Odin, but also the alternate dark elf sculpt. Either her cape or her arm will always be putting outward pressure on the lid, so those three figs went in the Ragnarok Token tray. Everything else is magnificent!

So close

I don't have anything to add other than the mention of the Dwarf and Odin issues others mentioned. It's a great product, went together quite well and with little trouble and seriously improves set up and tear down something fierce.

I love it

I think it is the best option out there for Blood Rage (especially the kickstarter version). Yes the dwarf and oden don't fit as well as other figures, hence 4 stars; however, it excels at everything fitting in the main box safely.

It was easy to assemble

The engraving is a supurb touch

My one assembly tip make sure bittom of troop tray all has same side tgat says "ship" facing up as this could be assembled upside down

Almost Perfect

Just finished assembling the organizer, and putting everything into place, and it's fantastic -- except for a couple of small hiccups that definitely could use some adjustments, somehow.

1) There are three extra monsters in the '5th Player Expansion box', and one of them comes with a spear that makes him too tall to fit into the monsters box. I've just stuffed him into the Ragnarok token box for now, as there's plenty of room there.

2) The 'rails' that are used to hold the clan pieces into place are tricky as hell to fit properly, since they're made to fit around the colored bases to hold those minis in place. It's fantastic in concept, but the minis don't really want to sit flat enough for you to snap the holding piece into place without a lot of fiddling. Even when you do get the rail into place, they feel very precarious and ready to pop back off before you're ready to remove it. I almost think it might have been better to make these more solid covers, like the ones used for the Monsters and Gods of Asgard trays.

With those two points in mind, however, the rest of the components are fantastic -- I especially love the "spring action" for the large monster trays, and the way everything fits perfectly to fill the base box once they're all assembled.

Almost there

This was my first purchase and while there were many things I like about the product there are a few that are annoying. Most have been mentioned- difficultly of arranging clans in their case because of spears/poses (they will fit but you have to plan your placement ), the dwarf chieftain issue (which I solved buy switching him with the werewolf slot but my ocd shows as now the lable is wrong. The gods case is also an issue mentioned. While Odin and is throne don't fit as mentioned, Thor and his hammer also are scraping the top of the box. My fire giant with his flaming sword stick up above the top of the holder just slightly making it tricky to stack the game board and rules on top. Finally the gods and monster boxes were figs are stored on both sides can be a bit tricky to close.

With all that I like the concept and it does get everything in one box. We play once a week so I'll see how it all holds up but I have high hopes. I see they are looking into some fixes (I suggested one above) and I hope they address the issues. I'm not sorry I bought the product and if you know issues going in I think you'll be happy with it.

Wow, what an ingenius solution!

I do not envy the engineer that is tasked with fitting numerous products and expansions into a box meant for the original product only. And on top of that, please make it so that the figures, when painted, do not shake around and get damaged!

I found this to be a beautiful solution and package. My girlfriend put this together in less than an hour and she is not a model builder (she is a hair stylist and enjoys assembling them for fun). Some pieces required glue but that would be expected with a wood frame like this.

True, there is a piece that has a long weapon but jeez, there are tons of pieces and having just one needing a "custom" fit is fine by me....

Great layout, mediocre materials

This organizer is definitely better than my previous solution (plastic bags), but for $56 (includes tax and shipping) I expected better quality. Careful assembly takes 1-2 hours.

The divider components are shipped as cutouts in thin sheets of wood. They are still attached and need to be popped out. The flat surfaces are covered with splinters and the finish was generally disappointing. The components incurred some slight damage when popped out and fit together. They do fit together, but not as well as I'd hoped.

The bottom line is that this organizer fulfills its primary role fairly well. It holds almost all the minis in place, minimizing damage to your paint job. Just don't drop it - the thin wood components might break.

Response: While the wood is thin and may appear fragile, it most certainly is not. Baltic birch is extremely strong and much stronger than other materials like MDF.
