17 removable trays make set-up and tear down a breeze. A large tray holds all the 2-sided map tiles with an etched stacking order to help find the right tiles and pack back up. 4 identical trays hold the party’s active character’s ability cards, attack modifier cards, collected item cards, character tokens, character pad, character board and hp/xp dials and trackers, as well as a spot for the character standee for first edition copies of the game. The miniatures tray holds all the character miniature boxes with cutouts making it easy to remove the right one. 2 identical trays hold the 2-sided overlay tiles with a third smaller tray for the trap overlay tiles. 1 mini-card tray holds the 4 base attack modifier decks, blessing cards, curse cards, negative modifiers, battle goal cards, random scenario cards, and all item cards with enough dividers to separate all the cards by type and items by prosperity level. The standard card tray holds road and city events; separated by available, locked and used events; personal quest cards, and both types of random dungeon cards. The standard card tray also has a “secret compartment” under the cards for the Town Records Book and sealed envelopes. There are 3 “combat” trays, one holds all the status tokens (the 2nd edition redesign rendered the blessing and curse tokens obsolete so the tray was redesigned to hold the 8 rather than 10 tokens), one holds damage tokens, money tokens, xp tokens/scenario aid tokens, and element discs and round tracker for set-up, the third tray holds the summons and their trackers and number tokens. Finally there are 3 monster trays, one for plastic stands, another for the monster stat sheets and sleeves, the third holds 30 custom full color tuck-boxes that store the monster attack modifier cards and each monster type’s standees and ability cards together.
There’s a lot of world to explore and a lot of money to be made, get to adventuring faster with help from The Broken Token!.

The kit was easy to assemble, and the how-to video on you tube was a big help in getting us started. You will definitely want some all purpose or wood glue and a rubber mallet. A lot of fun to put together, and the end result was very pleasing and adds so much to the Gloomhaven gaming experience.
Great Organizer! Some Assembly Required.

- A place for everything. You can very quickly determine where the item you need is.
- Awesome support videos on YouTube that help you to assemble the organizer and where to put the components.
- Really does drive down the time on setup. Normally it took me 30 minutes or greater to set up a scenario, now it honestly takes around 5 or 6 minutes.
- Cool secret compartments for the secret envelopes
- Character trays to save your current party
- Labeled monster tuck boxes for quick grabbing
- Awesome miniature storage tray on the side. Most active party miniatures can actually fit in the character boxes, but I don't want to risk warping any of my minis in case I stick something in there wrong.
- Room for customizing. An abundance of dividers for the standard (city and road events, random scenarios) and mini card (items, battle goals, bless/curse) aspects. It's easy to find a configuration that suits your table.
- Looks classy
- Have to flatten a few character boxes of the current party. This doesn't bug me one bit, as I can easily stick them below decks.
- Long assembly time. I actually had a lot of fun doing this, but I also had a block of free time. I'd say that I worked while watching Netflix for a total of 6-8 hours. Hard to tell. You will need glue. In the long run, it is totally worth it, and no matter where you go you will have to do some assembly on an organizer of this size.
- Price is a bit high. Some of the wood had minor splinters while working. This terrified me as the organizer comes out to around $100 for an already expensive game.
- The monster tokens and their ability card decks are stored in the same boxes. For the majority of the characters, you can easily drop them back into the box after the 8-card deck, however for some of the boxes with more of the larger enemies (Archer, Boss, etc.) are somewhat of a tight fit and usually take a little extra time to finagle them around when putting them up.
If BT ever redesigns this organizer, it would be nice to see a separate, labeled tray for the enemy tokens and another one with their 8-card deck. Though this is just nitpicking at this point, and that would take away precious, precious space for such a large game.
All in all, I am very pleased with this organizer. While there is some room for improvement, my complaints are small and not enough to bump it down to a 4-star rating. If you get this organizer, you will be pleased. I have already played 4 scenarios with the new organizer, and it has saved a ton of time.

Gloomhaven is an amazing game, but the set up and clean up is awful. It always took close to 30 min just to locate all of the standees and terrain tiles. It is so much easier now that they are in the insert. My favorite part of the insert is the box that holds everyone's character. When we are going go play, I just hand them their box and it has all they need.
The insert did take a good amount of time to build. It wasn't difficult, there were just a lot of things to put together. As long as you take your time and organize the pieces while building, it should be easy.
If you are on the fence about buying an insert for the game, I would recommend you buy it. It is such a time saver, that you will get more games in during your game session. It is totally worth it.
Play more, sort less.

This is the first The Broken Token item I've bought, and I'm very happy with it. Assembly wasn't bad, I glued most things, even if they fit snug(which most did), they'll have to hold close to twenty pounds of game components. I used a hobby knife to remove some parts from their sheets to avoid splintering, most came out just fine. Functionality is fantastic, lots of clever storage ideas coming together to help get this game on and off the table fast. I sleeved all of my cards, and this organizer accommodates that. The amount of dividers for the card trays works great, I did have to sand one of them to fit, but that's the only piece I had to do this to. The monster tuck box setup is fantastic, this worked with sleeved cards too, I'm using Mayday standard sleeves, basically penny sleeves but with a better finish. I would recommend this product, it's very well thought out and fun to build.
Organizer doubles as lifesaver.

Previous to receiving this my copy was a disorganized mess spread between the box and upturned lid, kept only at bay by 3 dozen plastic bags
With this put togetherit's incredibly easy to take gloomhaven out and put it away, and even easier to find what you're looking for.
I think the size on the monster token boxes is a bit arbitrary (some have a ton of space when all their tokens are in them, the boss one in particular i have to very carefully pack to make it fit right, but they all fit so it's pretty nitpicky)
it was super easy to assemble and it's solid as heck.
Pretty good - Few Minor Things

Over all the Insert is pretty good. The few minor complaints I would have are as follows:
Some of the punchouts were not where they were stated in the picture.
Some of the punchouts were so close to each other they caused cracks in each other
Having something that stated where the gloomhaven stuff goes in the insert would be super useful so I dont have to refer to the website pictures.
Other than that seems pretty good so far.
Impressive and Satisfying!

Love this, if you are questioning if you need it, you do.
An Excellent Organizer

Not the first Broken Token item I've helped put together or used, but is the first one I've purchased and I'm beyond pleased with it. Everything fits nicely and makes setup so much faster.
Putting together the entire thing was fun, though the piece diagrams didn't match up a few times to the actual laser cut sheets. Despite that, they were always on the same sheet and easy to figure out which piece the instructions meant.
The card deck holders have movable dividers, which is quite helpful as I have my own way of organizing the decks during the campaign.
The only issues I have are slightly nitpicky, mostly in the dungeon tile tray (while serviceable, I will probably use an accordion file to make setup even faster, and use the tray for sticker sheets, notebooks, etc).

Construction of the trays was an enjoyable project. I would strongly recommend following along with the construction video; makes the whole process pleasant and easy. The trays all fit in the box as described. I particularly like the burned in icons on some of the trays—helps in organization of the pieces.
I like it, but...

I really like this organizer and will definitely buy from the Broken Token again. My only issue I have is the board tray. It is 8 parts, and they advise to use tape on the to secure the bottom. Although you're not putting anything too heavy in the tray, it still feel flimsy.
